But what is RTK? In this science, RTK is composed of GPS receiving equipment, data transmission system and software system for implementing dynamic measurement. In operation, one receiver is placed on the base station, and the other receiver or receivers are placed on a carrier (called a mobile station). The base station and the mobile station simultaneously receive signals transmitted by the same GPS satellite at the same time. The observations obtained by the base station are compared with the known position information to obtain GPS differential correction values. The corrected value is then transmitted to the mobile station of the common-view satellite through the radio data link station to refine its GPS observations, thereby obtaining a more accurate real-time position of the mobile station after the differential correction. Speaking of RTK, a GPS-based system can provide a more accurate location for GPS, known as centimeter-level positioning.
Can the RTK positioning system really be foolproof? Not necessarily, because the urban environment is more complicated now, there are GPS interferences in many locations, and even many people have GPS jammers. After the GPS is interfered, the role of RTK is not so great. From the perspective of controlling the navigation system, GPS interference is to send false geographic coordinates to the control system of the drone, or directly block your GPS. This is actually very simple, because the drone receives the GPS signal and always has the strongest signal. The source is correct, so as long as the signal of the interference is strong enough, what type of drone can't escape the interference (even those military drones are no exception).
