吉利汽车集团公司在上年回收了一间全名是Terrafugia的飞行汽车企业，该企业2006年由5位麻省理工大学大学毕业者开创。
并购美国飞行汽车品牌Terrafugia之后，吉利汽车集团喊出豪言壮语，2020年该品牌的飞行汽车年销目标为300万辆，新车计划率先于美国市场发售。
吉利在投入资金与相关资源之后，除了协助Terrafugia Transition飞行汽车尽快量产上市之外，接下来还将于2023年推出全球首辆可垂直起降的飞行汽车，结合直升机技术于其中。
量产版飞行汽车Terrafugia Transition，除采用折叠机翼之外，更可在1分钟之内切换地面行车与空中飞行模式。
Terrafugia Transition飞行汽车动力系统搭载汽油直列四缸涡轮增压引擎，最高时速160km，最大飞行高度3048m，满油空中续航距离可达640km，每小时油耗19L，起飞滑行距离需要425m。这款飞行汽车配有许多安全配件，例如安全气囊、预警式安全带和降落伞。
不过想要驾驶这样特殊的飞行车，不是凭一般的汽车驾照就可以驾驶，美国联邦航空局2016年将这部飞行汽车定为轻型运动飞行器，所以必须要符合美国国家公路和交通安全管理的标准，要驾驭这款飞行车的消费者必须要拥有飞行执照才行。

The fuel life is up to 640km, with an hourly fuel consumption of 19L and a take-off distance of 425m. This flying car is equipped with many safety accessories such as airbags, warning belts and parachutes.
However, if you want to drive such a special flying car, you can drive without a normal car driver's license. The US Federal Aviation Administration has designated this flying car as a light sport aircraft in 2016, so it must meet the standards of the US national road and traffic safety management. Consumers who want to ride this flying car must have a flight license.
