现在航空动力继续分叉，追求高速的一支是与航天动力融合，形成以涡轮冲压为特点的空天动力。另一支低空、低速的即通用航空则又回头与汽车动力融合，朝电动化方向发展。汽车和通用飞机现在只是在发动机等零部件技术上是相通的，但往后发展，就会有整机产品把它们合二为一，这就是飞行汽车。
